Prof. Venkata Koppula is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at IIT Delhi, where he works on advancing the foundations of cryptography. He earned his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) from the University of Texas at Austin and was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Weizmann Institute of Science before returning to India in 2020.
His research explores modern cryptography with a focus on incompressibility, post-quantum security, and functional encryption. His contributions have been recognized internationally, including the Best Paper Award at Crypto 2020, and nationally with the Early Career Research Award (2024).
